The Golden Fish

red-dot   “The golden fish” titled painting made in 2016. The whole painting look like fragmentation of images like kettles, flowers, portraits, Mushrooms and many other forms can be seen. The basic idea of making a grid is to say that how different we are from each living and non living things  but we together exist.

The flower vase in the middle is emphasized and intricate detailing given. It gives multi dimension of thoughts to the viewer to relate to each other.

Getting ready

get ready

He started with yellow belt getting ready to fight. I painted this one yesterday. I tried to give bright yellow stroke on the belt to make it prominent. Folds of this taekwondo dress create interesting tonal variations of grey.

Is that true

Is that true

While I am going through the photo albums found this pic, when i zoomed the pic on the right side corner I noticed them, thought of painting the composition. Hope they won’t identify. It seems some serious conversation going on and they look so involved that they just forgot where they are. Due to the urbanisation, people are leading mechanical life no body is having time to spend peaceful life. In fact they feel its waste of time and intelligent way of saying it is time management.

Need rest

Need rest

Photograph of my son sitting under the tree tempted me to paint it. Second day of the visit to Kodaikanal, we had a nice walk in to the woods. He was running, climbing and jumping from the trees like a monkey, after some time he got settled under the tree. Dazzling sun light spots on the ground and on his shirt created interesting colour tones. Whole painting filled with warm colours and vermillion red on the background adds little detail to the work. It’s always fun to be with nature.
