Hi

Boy with Goggles

Portrait of a boy wearing goggles, this particular work looks patchy with bold strokes. Yesterday got some wooden panels and need to give base coat to them. Actually I like to paint on the gessoed board, because the surface will be smooth.

Baby sitter

Baby sitter

The boy looks drowsy and sleepy early in the morning but he is trying to hold his sister. The painting on the left which was painted in golden frame makes the whole composition more interesting and it carries the mood.

I recollect one of whistlers painting “Arrangement in grey and black no 1” or the alternative title “whistler mother” because of the painting inside the painting.

Portrait of photographer

sajjad

This is a portrait of one of my friends,  Sajjad Husain, and he is a professional photographer. I like his shiny head with goggles, highlights on the head and goggles look same though the texture is different. Couple of day’s back I was studying the paintings of Lucian Freud they are so amazingly done. His way of depicting the Nudes and portraits are not just skilful, but they are filled with emotion and a kind of deep penetration into feelings of model.

Hyderabad is blessed with rock landscapes. You can notice rock landscapes around the city as they are 2500 million old as per the geological survey. They speak in silence and evoke the inner emotions. They became a well composed subject for me to paint. Bushes that grow near the rocks make the combination of burnt sienna, scarlet and sap green colours along with the bare blue sky. Various shapes and forms of these hard and rough textured rocks are gently touching the layers of my heart.

Due to the urbanization of city these rock hills slowly diminishing into the past.

This particular painting named “stacked” is the first one on this subject, and I would like to continue for few more compositions further.
